Good Afternoon everyone!!
@Jeff Stith -- Jeff Penner suggests going north, than east (I-80 route). You'll run into snow, but it could be a bit less. If you go I-70, you'll be dealing with more precip, says Michelle.
Jeff.... Our advice is to do the I-80 route, but both ways you will be seeing snow. Be careful!
@Tonya -- If you go Saturday, you could deal w/ a little ice. Michelle suggests you go Saturday morning during the day if you can so you don't have to deal with as much potential for snow.
Thanks for waiting everybody. We're starting now. Make sure you're watching at KSHB.com/holidaytravel.
@Joel -- If you leave Saturday, you could get some snow on the northern route. Southern route may be better if you leave Saturday. Friday night, the northern route.
@Mary -- May have a bit of ice early Friday morning, but your Sunday morning drive could have a lot of snow. Try and delay your drive back to KC as late as possible.
@Stefanie -- If you leave early Saturday, you could have heavy rain. Suggest you leave early Saturday so you can deal with rain rather than snow/ice on Sunday.
@Michelle: If she leaves Friday, she should be OK. The earlier, the better. If you leave late Friday/early Sat, you could deal with ice in KC>
@MichelleMcElhiney: Easy answer: Friday.
@artie: Cold, snow and ice on Saturday.
@Will: A very wet Saturday. Most of the snow will stay to the north. Some ice on Sunday.
@KMooreFOOD@aol.com: She'll be dealing with showers/t-storms for Saturday. If she takes I-70 through St. Louis, she'll be dealing with a mix of ice/snow. I-64 through Kentucky, the same thing. Better off going the southern route.
@fullermaine: For the weekend, some rain, slight chance of snow/ice/sleet. Southern MO would be on the edge. Sunday, it
Keep your questions coming!
@MeaganKirchhoff: The storm will be gone by Sunday, but there could be some slick roads. Saturday is tricky. If she can leave, go Friday.
@Garny: Jeff says there may be a small system in southern Minn, but take it slow and you should be fine.
@Mema: If you're leaving Sunday, you may have some storms in the south, but the roads may be a bit slick when you get closer to home.
@email@example.com: Denver is going to be fine.
@firstname.lastname@example.org: If you leave later, you could hit the storm....leave earlier if possible.
@TrendBucker: Snow on Saturday night, some light snow and precip on Sunday.
