@AmyCrmr: Probably OK. Should be fine.
@Jake: She's probably going to have delays. Be prepped. Try an earlier flight or stock up on airport food.
@GOBKS96: Some rain, but you should be OK. You're driving away from the ice/snow.
@Andrew: It's a consensus. Friday.
@Aaron: Some thunderstorms.
@vee: If you can leave later, do so.
@ReneeBenson: Thursday during the day is fine. If you can leave earlier, it's better. Early afternoon. Minor issues in NE during the evening.
@Tom: Just watch for slick roads.
@email@example.com: Friday night to Saturday morning.
@Bethany: Later the better, but still a chance for slick roads.
Thanks for asking your questions everybody. I'm going to go through the entire chat and make sure we get any questions we couldn't get to today asked first during tonight's webcast with Gary and Jeff at 6:30 p.m.
Hey, everybody. We're making final preps and we'll be on shortly at KSHB.com/holidaytravel. We have a few questions to clear out from this afternoon's show, so we'll get to as many as we can tonight.
We've had a lot of questions about driving to and from St. Louis, so I'll ask that first and we'll get a forecast through Christmas.
For those traveling to STL: On Friday, expect a few slick spots. On Saturday morning it'll be slick as you travel toward Columbia, but on Saturday afternoon you can expect some rain.
@Shelly: Gary & Jeff say there's a storm developing near Oakland, but heading south. Your husband should be fine Friday. Could be a snow shower over the Rockies, though.
@BrutalGypsyLove: Chicago and KC could be the airports with issues that day, but ATL should be fine. Have a safe flight!
@RocketMan: You could be coming into some rain. Approaching KC could bring some issues.
@Ken: The roads might still be slick. Gary & Jeff are predicting the storm be over by noon.
@B_Ri: If the storm they're targeting to come in early January-- there could be a problem. As of right now, you should be okay.
@Hanni: It'll be VERY cold, but you'll be all good.
@Robin: If it's not icy here, you've got a better chance of it being rainy as you head east to Cincinnati. In Philly, you won't encounter too much winter weather. Eat a cheesesteak for us!
From KC to St. Jo-- Roads could be icy. You have a better chance of just running into rain if you leave early Saturday.
@Mel: Slight chance of it being icy. Temps will probably be around 33. Gary recommends the earlier you travel on Saturday the better.
